Every Leathers First race suit, jacket and pair of race pants is built around certified impact protectors. Below are the exact models, standards and certificate numbers, so you can check them yourself instead of taking our word for it.
Limb protectors: CE Level 2 (EN 1621-1)
Made by Xiamen DSO Protector Co., Ltd (Xiamen, China). EU type examination under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Category II. Level 2 is the higher of the two performance levels in EN 1621-1.

These protectors were tested by SGS against the back and chest protector standards and passed at Level 1. These are laboratory test reports, not EU type examination certificates.

How to check a certificate
RICOTEST is an EU notified body (number 0498). You can confirm any RICOTEST certificate above by emailing them the certificate number at ce@ricotest.com. If you'd like a copy of a full certificate or test report, message us on WhatsApp or email contact@leathersfirst.com and we'll send it.
What is and isn't certified
The certificates cover the protectors. Our suits are not certified as complete garments under EN 17092 (the AAA, AA and A garment classes), and we don't claim they are. The protectors used can vary between production runs and models; if you want to know exactly which armour goes into your order, ask us before you buy.
