Ordering & payment
How do I pay?
Checkout is handled by PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal balance, PayPal Pay Later where it's available in your country, or a credit or debit card. You don't need a PayPal account to pay by card.
Can I order by phone or WhatsApp?
Yes, we're happy to help. Message us on WhatsApp at +1 (407) 403-9430 or email contact@leathersfirst.com with what you'd like and we'll help you get the order placed. We never ask for card details over the phone or in chat.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Orders placed on weekdays go into production quickly, so we usually can't change or cancel them once placed. Orders placed on a weekend or public holiday can be changed or cancelled within 24 hours. If you've made a mistake with your measurements, message us straight away and we'll do what we can.
Do you sell wholesale or make gear under other brands?
Yes. We manufacture in our own factories and make race suits, jackets and pants for shops, race teams, clubs and private-label brands. Use the wholesale enquiry form and tell us roughly what you need.
Sizing & made to measure
Should I choose a standard size or made to measure?
If you're usually a standard size in riding gear, a standard size works well. If you're between sizes, taller or shorter than average, or want a close race fit, choose “Made to measure” and enter your measurements. It costs the same.
How do I take my measurements?
Use a soft tape measure, over light clothing, and keep it snug but not tight. It's much easier with someone helping you. Our made-to-measure page explains each measurement, and you can enter them in centimetres or inches.
What if I'm not sure about a measurement?
Message us on WhatsApp or arrange a video call before ordering so we can help you take and check measurements. We also send real photos of your finished suit for you to confirm the design and details before shipping.
Suit leather & airbag fit
What leather do your suits use?
Our standard suits use 1.2–1.3 mm AAA-grade cowhide. AAA-grade describes the leather quality. The body armor is CE-certified.
Can I upgrade to full kangaroo leather?
Yes. A full kangaroo leather upgrade costs an additional $150 per suit and replaces the cowhide in all leather panels. Select it on your suit product page.
Can you tailor my suit for an airbag?
Airbag fit customization costs an additional $75 per suit. Tell us your exact airbag brand and model so we can confirm the fit requirements before production. For a model not listed, choose Other and enter its details in the notes. The airbag is not included.
Making & shipping
How long does it take?
Everything is made to order. Making usually takes 8–10 working days. We then email you photos to check, and once you approve, we ship by DHL or FedEx. Delivery usually takes up to 20 days from the ship date, depending on where you are. If you need faster production, contact us before ordering so we can check availability.
Do you ship worldwide? How much is shipping?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Orders of 500 or more include free worldwide DDP shipping, with import duties and taxes prepaid. Below this threshold, the existing 25 shipping charge applies and import duties or taxes may be payable on delivery.
Will I see my gear before it ships?
Yes. When your order is finished we send you photos to check the details. It only ships after you've approved it.
Returns, warranty & care
What's your return policy?
We accept returns on most items within 7 days of delivery, as long as they're unused, in the original packaging and with tags attached. Email contact@leathersfirst.com with your order number and the reason, and we'll send return instructions. See our shipping & returns page for full details.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. There's a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects: leather faults, stitching or seam failures, broken hardware like zips and snaps, and armor that wasn't fitted correctly. It doesn't cover crash damage, normal wear, or damage from improper care.
How should I clean and look after my leathers?
Take the armor out first. Wipe the leather with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then wipe it again with a clean damp cloth. Never machine wash leather or use solvents or harsh cleaners. Let it dry naturally on a wide hanger, away from radiators, heaters and direct sun, then apply a leather conditioner so it stays supple. Store it hung up somewhere cool and dry.
